Turn Back, the band's third studio album is a return to a classic sextet structure, and an even more consistent and powerful album with a sharper edge. Its edgier sound reflected the maturation of the group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency on the drums, as well as an improved, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams.
