Architecture of Observation Towers

It seems to be human nature to enjoy a view, getting the higher ground and taking in our surroundings has become a significant aspect of architecture across the world. Observation towers which allow visitors to climb and observe their surroundings, provide a chance to take in the beauty of the land while at the same time adding something unique and impressive to the landscape.

Model Making In Architecture

The importance of model making in architecture could be thought to have reduced in recent years. With the introduction of new and innovative architecture design technology, is there still a place for model making in architecture? Stanton Williams, director at Stirling Prize-winning practice, Gavin Henderson, believes that it’s more important than ever.

How to Replace an audi key fobs G28 Engine Speed Sensor

In this video, Charles the humble mechanic demonstrates how to replace the G28 engine speed sensor. This sensor is located on the edge of the transmission, above the flywheel ring gear. It sends a message to the ECU through the grey wire T55/49 and then to the tachometer located on the instrument cluster.

1. Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor is located at the edge of the transmission, above the flywheel ring gear G28 Engine Speed Sensor sends signals to ECU pin T55/49 through the grey wire. The ECU then utilizes this information to regulate the flow of fuel, timig and boost. It also sends an indication to the G5 tachometer in the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used to link the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu must be aware when the crankshaft is TDC and where the camshaft is so it can start spark and injectors according to the situation.

If this sensor fails, the ECU will throw a P00160 code which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft aren't in sync, possibly indicating chain stretch or a jumped link on the upper timing chain. However, the error code won't be displayed on its own without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).

It can be a bit difficult to test since there are different connector pins, and each one has different functions. The best method for doing this is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. Look for signs of coolant, or oil in the connector bay if you are experiencing issues with this part.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed I noticed a significant drop in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, three were drenched with gazoline the fourth was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each injector hole, and when i start the engine with no sparks, the three that have gazoline pop right out. The fourth one remains shut. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I got 0ohm. I assume that the problem is somewhere else.

I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged and runs fine when it is connected however it has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when unplugged, still shows temperatures of -49c. Also i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.

I'm not certain what to do, as i feel i have pretty much eliminated everything else. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please chime in! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal sent by the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender, and both operate on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily find the spare in a salvage shop or a parts store. Testing them is easy - put your DMM in resistance mode and measure the resistance between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's side up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black connector's side). They must be infinite ohms.

4. ECU

Our 20vt turbo (3B AAN, ABY and ADU) engines have an ECU that has to be aware of the speed and position of the crankshaft in order to make decisions about timing of the fuel injectors, etc. It uses a Crank Position Sensor G4 and an Engine Speed Sensor G28 to achieve this. If you have a problem with either of these, the diagnostic scanner will display the codes that could trigger an engine shut down.

The signs of a failed G28 sensor are an inaccurate gearbox rev counter, gears shifting quicker than normal and/or misfiring when you're in gear. If you experience any of these issues, it is likely that your sensor is failing and requires replacement audi a4 key. The good news is that they are quite affordable and easily accessible, especially when you're looking at the Bosch model, which is what ours are. If you prefer, GM's version of this part is a good option.

5. Tachometer

A failing engine sensor could cause a number of problems in your vehicle. It is a crucial part of the Audi Replacement Key Cost's transmission since it relays information to the ECU about how fast or slow the car's crankshaft is turning. This sensor can cause the transmission to malfunction and other car components to be affected.

volkswagon-logo.jpgThe G5 engine sensor is located at the edge of transmission, above the flywheel ring. It sends an electrical signal through a gray wire to the ECU pin T55/49. The ECU utilizes this signal to control the amount of fuel and boost, and also timig. It also relays it to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster. You can test for sensor failure by examining the continuity of the sensor to the tachometer. You can also check continuity between pin T55/49 of the ECU and pin T6a/1 of the instrument cluster (trace [79trace [79]), and between pin T6a/1 and pin T26a/12. You should observe approximately 1000 ohms resistance between these two points. This is a common part across the audi a3 spare key 80, 100, 200, UrS and RS2 range from 1985 MC to the 1997 UrS AAN and 1995 RS2 ADU so good ones might be availble in wrecking yards.Lexus.jpg
