Architecture of Observation Towers

It seems to be human nature to enjoy a view, getting the higher ground and taking in our surroundings has become a significant aspect of architecture across the world. Observation towers which allow visitors to climb and observe their surroundings, provide a chance to take in the beauty of the land while at the same time adding something unique and impressive to the landscape.

Model Making In Architecture

The importance of model making in architecture could be thought to have reduced in recent years. With the introduction of new and innovative architecture design technology, is there still a place for model making in architecture? Stanton Williams, director at Stirling Prize-winning practice, Gavin Henderson, believes that it’s more important than ever.

How to Replace an audi new key remote audi replacement key (www.demilked.com) G28 Engine Speed Sensor

In this video, Charles the Humble Mechanic shows how to replace the G28 engine speed sensor. The sensor is situated on the edge of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear. It sends a signal to the ECU via an uncolored wire (T55/49) which is then sent to the tachometer in the instrument cluster.

The grey wire is situated at the edges of the transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. The sensor transmits signals through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU then uses this information to control fuel, timig and boost. It also sends an indication to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used as a reference for comparing with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft has reached TDC and also the location of the camshaft in order to activate the spark and injectors.

If this sensor fails, the ECU will display a P00160 code which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are out of sync and possibly indicating the chain stretching or a jump link on the upper timing chain. However the code will not appear on its own, without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).

Testing can be a bit difficult as there are two different connector pins and they perform different functions but the best method of testing it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. It should read about 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. If you are having problems with this sensor, look for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at full speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were drenched in gasoline and the fourth was unclean. When i crank the engine without sparks, I put a piece of tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 drenched with gazoline leap out, however the 4th stays closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I got zero ohm. I'm assuming the issue is in another place.

I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car is able to start when the G28 is disconnected and runs fine when it is plugged in but it still is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of that is -49c even after unplugging it. Also i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.

I'm not sure what to do, as i feel i have pretty much eliminated everything else. But i am afraid I might have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender, and both operate on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily locate an extra in a wrecking shop or a parts store. Testing them is easy - put your DMM in resistance mode and measure the resistance between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector end up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black connector's side). They should be infinite Ohms.

4. ECU

Our 20vt turbo (3B AAN, ABY, and ADU) engines are equipped with an ECU that needs to know the position and speed of the crankshaft in order to make decisions regarding timing of the fuel injectors, etc. In order to do this it utilizes a Crank Position Sensor (G4) and an Engine Speed Sensor (G28). If you encounter a problem with either one of these, the diagnostic scanner will show codes that could lead to an engine shut down.

It is likely that the sensor is failing and requires to be replaced if you experience any of these symptoms. The good thing is that they are quite affordable and readily available, especially in the case of the Bosch unit which is what ours are. Alternately, GM's version this part would be an option.

5. Tachometer

A failing engine sensor could cause a myriad of issues in your car. It is an important part of the transmission in your audi a3 key, as it transmits information to the ECU about how fast or slow the car's engine is spinning. This sensor can cause the transmission to fail and other components of the car to be affected.

The G5 engine sensor is located near the edge of transmission, above the flywheel ring. It transmits signals via an uncolored wire to the ECU pin T55/49. The ECU is then able to process this signal to regulate fuel, timig and boost, and also sends it on to the G5 tachometer in the instrument cluster. You can determine if the sensor is in failure by examining the continuity of the sensor to the tachometer. Also, you can verify continuity between pin T55/49 of the ECU and pin T6a/1 of the instrument cluster (trace [79trace [79]), and between pin T6a/1 as well as pin T26a/12. You should detect an average resistance of 1000 ohms between these two points. This part is common across the Audi A1 keys 80-100-200-RS2 series, starting from the 1985 MC up to the 1997 UrS AN and 1995 RS2 DU So, you may find good ones in wrecking yards.
