The multifunction copier at my workplace, which I had been using for almost 11 years and 10 months, has finally handed over its role to the next generation and retired. Well, as an office machine, I guess it's amazing that it was used for so long. In fact, it was about time that the parts would no longer be available, and it was said that some parts were already missing, so it can't be helped. Thank you very much for your hard work. Looking at it again, I noticed that it had a very curved form. It had a touch panel, but the numeric keypad and other parts were still just normal keyboards. The new employees started to move in. First, they removed the packaging outside and stripped it bare. They laid sheets on the floor to prevent scratches, but they used two sheets alternately to ensure an aisle. Here, I met my predecessor. The design emphasizes straight lines, the dark colors, and the boldness that is typical of young people. The functionality is almost the same as before, but the startup sound was much quieter. Also, all operations are done with a touch panel, which includes a numeric keypad, but the display can be made exactly the same as the previous model as an option, so I had that done. I'm not the only one who uses it, so it should be more familiar to me if I'm used to it. A new function was added: a scanner. This function itself was available up until now, but it could not be used unless the driver was installed on the PC. However, this model has a USB memory and SD card slot on the touch panel, so you can insert the media and save directly. Although, originally, it was possible to connect the printer and the PC directly via LAN, but I decided not to do that because the environment was not quite ready. Or rather, other people would not be able to use it. And the printer driver came with a CD-ROM, so it was easy to install. However, the property setting screen had changed completely, so I was a little confused. Still, the things that could be done were the same, but the name had just changed, so I was able to print things like "kaihogen" in exactly the same way. So I compared the printouts with the printouts I made with the previous printer. The photos and other things hadn't changed much, but the text was completely different. The left is the new model, and the right is the old model. I printed the exact same file, but even though it was the same manufacturer, the results were so different when the model was changed.
