World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item upgrader will drop in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Utilizing a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrade the equipment they have the original item will be replaced with a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage, as it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with an initial level and a different set of bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). The item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as the Best item upgrader version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can result in the item upgrader kit reverting back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses mentioned above.
