Through a comprehensive literature review, the study explores the psychological mechanisms behind the appeal and influence of cute anime characters, specifically focusing on the beloved character Totoro from the renowned Japanese animated film "My Neighbor Totoro." Results reveal that exposure to kawaii Totoro wallpaper creates positive emotional experiences, enhances psychological well-being, and promotes relaxation, ultimately contributing to individuals' overall satisfaction and contentment.
