Architecture of Observation Towers

It seems to be human nature to enjoy a view, getting the higher ground and taking in our surroundings has become a significant aspect of architecture across the world. Observation towers which allow visitors to climb and observe their surroundings, provide a chance to take in the beauty of the land while at the same time adding something unique and impressive to the landscape.

Model Making In Architecture

The importance of model making in architecture could be thought to have reduced in recent years. With the introduction of new and innovative architecture design technology, is there still a place for model making in architecture? Stanton Williams, director at Stirling Prize-winning practice, Gavin Henderson, believes that it’s more important than ever.

How to Replace an audi q3 key G28 Engine Speed Sensor

FIAT.pngIn this video, Charles the humble mechanic demonstrates how to replace the G28 engine speed sensor. This sensor is located near the transmission's edge over the flywheel gear. It transmits a signal to the ECU via a grey wire (T55/49), then to the tachometer in the instrument cluster.

1. Engine Speed Sensor

The grey wire is situated on the edge of transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. This sensor sends an electrical signal through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU uses this information to control fuel and boost. It also sends an alert to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.

The sensor serves as a reference for comparing with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu needs to know when the crankshaft is TDC and where the camshaft is located so that it can start spark and injectors in the right way.

If this sensor fails to function, the ECU will display an error code P00160. This indicates that the Crank Shaft is not in line with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate a chain stretch or a jump in the chain link of the upper chain. However, the code won't be displayed on its own without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).

It's a bit tricky to test since there are various pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read approximately 1000 ohms when the sensor is in full operation. If you're experiencing issues with this part, check for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning, three were drenched in gasoline and the 4th was dry. When i crank the engine without sparks, I put a piece of tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline leap out, however the 4th one stays shut. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 i get zero ohm. I assume that the problem is in another location.

I also tried to reset PID without success. The car is able to start when the G28 is not plugged in and runs fine when it is connected but it still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of that is -49c even after unplugging it. Also i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.

I'm not sure what to do. I believe that I've all other possibilities out. But i am afraid I might have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal sent by the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and both are used in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a junkyard or from a parts store. It is simple to test them by putting your DMM in resistance mode and measure the resistance between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's side up) and 2 (2nd from left on the black end of the connector). They must be infinite Ohms.

4. ECU

The ECU in our 20vt turbo (3B AAN ABY) engines must know the position and speed of the crankshaft to determine timing of fuel injectors, etc. It makes use of a Crank Position Sensor G4 and an Engine Speed Sensor G28 to achieve this. If you encounter a problem with either of these, the diagnostic scanner will display the codes that could trigger the engine shutting down.

The signs of a failing G28 sensor include an inaccurate gearbox rev counter and gears that shift faster than normal and/or misfiring when in gear. It is likely that your sensor is failing and requires to be replaced if you experience any of these signs. They're cheap and easy to find especially when they're a Bosch sensor like ours. Alternatively, the GM version of this part is also a good choice.

5. Tachometer

A damaged engine sensor could cause a myriad of issues within your vehicle. It's an essential component of the audi tt replacement key's transmission because it communicates to the ECU about how the car's crankshaft is turning. This sensor could cause the transmission to fail and other components of the car to be affected.

The G5 engine sensor Audi Tt Key Fob is located at the outskirts of transmission, above the flywheel ring. It transmits an electrical signal through a gray wire to the ECU pin T55/49. The ECU then uses and processes this signal to control fuel, timig and boost, and also transmitting it to the G5 tachometer inside the instrument cluster. You can test the sensor for failure by examining the continuity between it and the tachometer. You can also check continuity between ECU pin T55/49 and the instrument cluster connection via pin T6a/1 (trace [79trace [79]) and between T6a/1 and the instrument cluster pin T26a/12. There should be the resistance to be around 1000 ohms between these two points. This is a common feature across the audi tt key Fob 80-100-200-RS2 range, from the 1985 MC up to the 1997 UrS AN and the 1995 RS2 Du, so you might find them in wrecking yards.
