This is the adorable moment a baby started swimming on her own in a pool unaided.

Grace Fanelli from Florida wanted to get her kids in the pool from an early age to make sure they were confident in the water.

Her daughter, Kassia, is barely a year-old but she took to the water like a natural, performing back-stoke, front crawl and spun around with ease without any help from her parents.

The youngster was able to climb out of the water and swim from one side of the shallow end to the other.

Grace's eldest daughter is now three, and the youngest, Kassia, is just one, but both learned to swim at only nine months, she said.

She told ViralHog: 'Drowning is the number one leading cause of injury-related deaths in infants and children under the age of five. They can start learning how to swim as young as six months of age.

'Please teach your kids how to swim so they can save themselves until help arrives.
