The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of the button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We like the statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a host of convenience features that you don't often see on robots in this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station.
