Saab Key Programming

Saab cars built since about 1994 feature an immobilizer mechanism made up of coded keys. A new transponder is required for the addition of a second key, and special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key

The transponder key comes equipped with an electronic chip. It sends a signal back to the car when it is inserted into the ignition.
