Architecture of Observation Towers

It seems to be human nature to enjoy a view, getting the higher ground and taking in our surroundings has become a significant aspect of architecture across the world. Observation towers which allow visitors to climb and observe their surroundings, provide a chance to take in the beauty of the land while at the same time adding something unique and impressive to the landscape.

Model Making In Architecture

The importance of model making in architecture could be thought to have reduced in recent years. With the introduction of new and innovative architecture design technology, is there still a place for model making in architecture? Stanton Williams, director at Stirling Prize-winning practice, Gavin Henderson, believes that it’s more important than ever.

How to Replace an audi replacement key fob G28 Engine Speed Sensor

In this video Charles the Humble Mechanic shows how to replace the G28 engine speed sensor. This sensor is located at the top of the transmission, above the flywheel ring gear. It sends a message to the ECU via an uncolored wire T55/49, then to the tachometer on the instrument cluster.

1. Engine Speed Sensor

The grey wire is located on the outside of the transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. This sensor sends a signal via the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU then utilizes this information to regulate the flow of fuel, timig and boost. It also sends an alert to the G5 Tachometer in instrument cluster.

The sensor serves as a reference point to connect with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu must know when the crankshaft has reached TDC, and the position of the camshaft, to trigger the spark and injectors.

If this sensor fails, the ECU will throw the P00160 error, which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are not in sync and could indicate chain stretch or a jumped link on the upper timing chain. However, the code won't be displayed on its own without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).

honda-logo.pngTesting is a bit tricky because there are two connector pins, and they perform different functions however the best method to test it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. If the sensor is operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. Check for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are issues with this component.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed I noticed a massive drop in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs. Three were drenched in gazoline, the fourth one was dry. When i crank the engine, there are no sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes, the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th stays closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I got zero ohm. I think the issue is in another location.

I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged and runs fine when it is plugged in, but still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temperature of -49c, even if I unplug it. Also, i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.

I don't know what to do. I believe that I've ruled everything else out. I'm worried that i might have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please chime in! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump of the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and both function in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a wrecking yard or in a local parts store. Test them out to do - just put your DMM in resistance mode and take measurements between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's end up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black connector's side). They must be infinite Ohms.

4. ECU

Our 20vt turbo (3B, AAN, ABY and ADU) engines have an ECU that has to be aware of the speed and position of the crankshaft to make decisions about timing of the fuel injector, for example. It utilizes a Crank Position Sensor G4 and an Engine Speed Sensor G28 to achieve this. If you are experiencing issues with either of these, the diagnostic scanner will display codes that could cause an engine shutdown.

The signs of a failed G28 sensor are an inaccurate gearbox rev counter the gears are shifting faster than normal, and/or a misfire when you are in gear. If you are experiencing any of these problems, it is most likely that your sensor audi key fob replacement cost is going bad and needs replacing. The good thing is that they are very affordable and readily available particularly when you're looking at an Bosch model, which is what we have. Alternatively, the GM version of this unit is also a great option.

5. Tachometer

A failing engine speed sensor could be the reason behind many issues in your car. It's an essential component of the transmission in your audi key fob replacement cost since it sends information to the ECU on how fast or slow the engine of the car is spinning. If this sensor fails, it could disrupt the performance of the transmission, as well as the other car's components.

The G5 engine speed sensor is located at the outside of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear. It sends a signal to the ECU at pin T55/49, via an uncolored wire. The ECU uses this signal to regulate the flow of fuel and boost and also timig. It also transmits it to the G5 Tachometer inside the instrument cluster. You can check the sensor for failure by checking continuity between it and the tachometer. You can also check continuity between ECU pin T55/49 and the instrument cluster connection on pin T6a/1 (trace [79trace [79]) and between pin T6a/1 and the instrument cluster pin T26a/12. You should observe around 1000 ohms of resistance between those points. This is a common feature across the Audi A1 keys 80-100-200-RS2 series, starting from the 1985 MC all the way up to the 1997 UrS AN and 1995 RS2 DU, so you might find them in wrecking yards.holding-car-keys-woman-in-formal-clothes-is-indoo-2021-12-27-15-52-03-utc-min-scaled.jpg
